Dyllan Smith
Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Wellness, and Fitness from UW-Stout.
I did an internship during the summer of 2014 at Whole Body Fitness in Chico, California, under Angelo Poli. Poli has trained Aaron Rodgers. Ed Rodgers, Aaron’s father, has his chiropractic practice connected to the gym as well. I grew up loving all sports, mainly competing in basketball, football, and baseball. I was born with a congenital hip condition that led to a fairly severe degenerative process that accelerated at an alarming rate in my high school and early college years. The desire to improve my life and be able to live as active of a life as I desired led to my decision to pursue a degree in health, wellness, and fitness. I also had hip surgeries on both hips in 2012. While the hip surgeries gave me more range of motion in the joint, I was not able to get my body moving with the safety and performance levels that I was hoping for even though I was working hard at the traditional physical therapy which was offered. This was a blessing to me, because it solidified in my mind that while a lot of what we learn in school and from the mainstream performance, biomechanics and anatomy fields is a lot of great information, there certainly is a vital missing piece to human movement and performance. Foundation Training is that missing piece. It is what has allowed me to greatly improve my health, movement performance, and overall functioning, while giving me the opportunity to live a very active lifestyle. I attended a Foundation Training certification in Santa Barbara and have helped many people of different ages alleviate chronic back pain, move better, and improve performance.
What is it?
Foundation Training is a revolutionary program to help relieve pain, improve performance, and prevent injuries. It is a safe and effective exercise program created to help you change the movement patterns that are hurting you. It was invented by Dr. Eric Goodman, a superstar in the fields of human movement and biomechanics. Foundation Training pulls you back into the way a human body is meant to move and helps build us up as opposed to the constant breakdown that our modern lives promote
